We have an exciting opportunity for an RVN to join our great team here at Charlton Vets4Pets!

The role is full time, working 4 days per week plus a 1 in 6 weekend rota. There are no OOH with this role ensuring a healthy work/life balance. Part time applicants may be considered.

We are based on the Peninsular Park inside a busy Pets At Home store and we enjoy an excellent reputation within the group and local community. Our modern, well equipped practice is purpose built to industry leading standards and has digital X-ray, ultrasound, an operating suite and full laboratory equipment to run biochem, haema and electro plus t4’s. Situated close to North Greenwich tube and Charlton train stations, we also offer plenty of free onsite parking and easy access for local bus routes.
Our brilliant team consists of our head nurse, 3 further full time RVNs, 2student nurses, 3 veterinary care assistants, 7 vets, 11 client care advisors and our practice manager.

Joining our nursing team will allow you to be involved in all aspects of nursing care. We rotate between; theatre, clinics, hospital, dispensary and prep. Our nurses are utilised to their fullest potential with progression and development actively encouraged.

As our nursing team continues to grow so do our plans to develop the role even further, for example our in house training on more schedule 3 procedures including stitch ups. We’re proud of the high level of veterinary care we offer.


This position has a flexible start date of either July/August/September.

Full support will be given to newly qualified nurses and therefore we’re also happy to accept applications from student nurses who are awaiting their final exam results/in the process of joining the register.

Person Specification

Our ideal new colleague will be friendly, down-to-earth and have a genuine interest in animal health and welfare. You should be someone who is confident, works well under pressure and is self-motivated to work independently but can also contribute to our team. Already being a clinical coach/willingness to train will be favourable.

You will have excellent customer service and communication skills, be an effective team player, have an organised and systematic approach when making decisions and enjoy variety within your role.
