Surgery Information / Job Description

We are looking for a Receptionist

Our team of Receptionists are the first and last impression of our Practice; responsible for caring for our clients and managing our vet’s diaries, they have the biggest impact on our day to day lives, and we want a professional, mature and good-humored colleague to join that growing team.

Person Specification

An average day will involve dealing with calls and visitors to the practice, handling appointments and client enquiries, taking payments, helping with admin and offering preventative healthcare advice.  To do this to the standard we require needs more than great IT literacy;  you’ll need to be highly motivated to take on new information in order to learn how and when to give advice, you’ll need to have a passion for pets to keep you going, and you’ll need to have a special skill of combining professionalism with compassion in the saddest of situations.

Benefits

Working in a Veterinary Practice is not easy; it is busy and demanding on a good day, which is why we reward our incredible team members with a supportive and friendly working environment, a competitive salary package which includes exclusive company benefits and rewards – including 20% off at Pets at Home, and large amounts of job satisfaction.  No previous veterinary experience is necessary - you will receive full training.

This role is part-time, averaging c.14 hours per week, working every Tuesday afternoon (2-7pm), Thursday morning (9-2), and one weekend every three weeks (Saturday 9-5, Sunday 10:30-4:30).

To apply, please send your CV and covering letter for the attention of

Kim Deane to wsm@companioncare.co.uk

Closing date for receipt of applications:  Monday 1st March.

Applications will not close early – so take the time to make the best impression.
