Surgery Information / Job Description

Hello…

We are looking for a part time nurse to join us at our surgery in Altrincham, 5 miles south of Manchester. The role has unfortunately opened up due to someone moving into a referral role. The position they leave behind is Monday to Wednesday and 1 in 4 weekends. Hours can be flexible as we have a variety of shifts through are core hours of 9am to 7pm. Weekends however are 9 to 6 on Saturdays and 10:30 to 4:30 on Sundays.

- Our team is made up of four RVNs, one student nurse, a VCA and four receptionists
- We use our nurses effectively and they have their own ops and consults lists
- Dentals always get x-rays and extractions are limited to a maximum of 45 minutes
- We do a range of more complex surgeries including TTAs and use visiting specialists when needed
- Vets Now provide cover out of hours and we can send cases to them in working hours if needed.

Person Specification

Ideally, we would like an experienced nurse that can support our whole team. Providing back up to our less experienced members, confidently dealing with challenging cases and clients and helping to keep a nice calm environment when things get a little busy!

The skills we are looking for on top of the obvious are:
- Ability to inspire and motivate the team around you
- Strong but balanced sense of responsibility
- Awareness of self and clear sense of direction

Benefits

Salary wise let me put it this way a newly qualified nurse would be on 20k. Benefits wise and on top of the standard we offer private health insurance, income protection after a year and 5 weeks holiday. CPD budget is flexible, a certificate is certainly possible
