Leeds-Birstall Small Animal Hospital, part of the Vets4Pets group, are looking to recruit an experienced and passionate Veterinary Nurse to add to our existing day team, led by our Joint-Venture partners Keith & Julie Leonard.

Leeds Birstall is a modern and progressive veterinary hospital, offering a high-quality working environment. One of only two 24/7 Small Animal Hospitals in the Group, we have a purpose built dental suite and are an ISFM Gold Standard clinic and cattery. The bright, air-conditioned surgery has state of the art equipment including two operating theatres, digital X-ray / in-house laboratory/ ultrasound facilities/ endoscopy/ multi-parameter anaesthetic monitors and more. Owned and run by Keith and Julie Leonard for the last nine years, Leeds Birstall Small Animal Hospital is recognised as one of the flagship practices in the group.

The Role
This is a busy practice and you will be supporting 9 Vets covering a wide range of work from; day surgery, consults, vaccinations and any emergency cases. You’ll be confident in all aspects of medical and surgical nursing with a drive to learn and develop your skills. You’ll also be confident dealing with clients through consultations, giving advice and liaising regarding the care of their pet.

Person Specification

Person Specification

Ideally a minimum of 3 years’ experience
A Registered Veterinary Nurse
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Small animal practice experience
Flexibility to work a range of shifts between 7:30 am and 8:30pm
